Storm, as if she could refer to herself as that anymore. The 'cure' or more like the disease has taken over all that fought at Alcatraz and now to think that the front lines could be children made her body shake in rage.
She was expecting maybe a small bolt of lightning but nothing. It angered her even more. Her eyes were fixed on the medical lab ahead, she needed to do research since their usual healer wasn't around anymore.
Thoughts of Jean were painful, she could feel the sorrow wash over her. Why did it have to come to that? She slowly shook her head finally realizing she was inside the medical lab.
Her eyes scanned the room, untouched. She wasn't around flitting about trying to figure out how the 'cure' worked. Ororo wasn't as good as Jean when it came to these things, but she might as well try to see if she could do any good.
Turning to the medicine cabinet she opened it up and groaned. They seriously needed to restock. They could use a few more ice packs... if Bobby still had his power then they wouldn't.
She mentally scowled, Storm was the one who was completly against the whole 'cure' thing. In fact to her it was no cure, it was a disease that was killing off their specialty, stripping them of their personalities.
Sighing, she sat down near one of the open windows. She looked up at the murky sky, concentrating on trying to make it sunny, it didn't work, she couldn't even feel the sensation of her eyes turning white.

"You now, you'd still think you had your powers with the way the sky looks out there."
It had been painful to be in the room. The medical labs had been one of the places that Jean had been the most, and it physically pained him. He wasn't even sure why he was walking into the room, until he had seen Storm. Well, he thought silently...she hadn't been lying about her hair.
Everything was so strange, so...messed up, Scott thought silently. He even missed his powers, though it was wonderful to see the world as it was truely.
The thing that instantly hit Scott was the colour of her skin. A cream-coffee colour, not the pinkish-red that he was used to. He stepped into the rooms, trying to forget the memories of Jean in the room, and focus on Storm. He moved behind her, looking out of the window.
"We'll find a way to reverse this, Ororo. I promise."

She turned to Scott. Him not having his abilities must be life altering. Not having the fear of blasting someone if he looked at this with his bear eyes.
She forced a smile on her lips, Scott had become a brother in many ways joining the X-Men around the same time as him. Him speaking those words reassured her.
"The person who we know that have a chance of reversing it are... gone." it was the sad truth. She wasn't one who would hide her thoughts knowing that by doing that her emotions would build up causing eruptions of different climates. Even if she didn't have her powers, old habits die hard.
"The school, it feels as though it lost a certain light, even the students who retained their abilities seem so... sad some of the older students seem hostile." in reference she was talking about the loss of their abilities.
Looking out the window again she tried to force the weather to change, angry that she couldn't she groaned angrily.
"Oh well the weatherman said it would be murky.. changing it wouldn't do us any good" Deja Vu creeped up on her remembering the professor saying something similar.

Scott wasn't sure if he wanted his powers back. Sure, his powers were the reason he was alive today. Sure, he had saved alot of lives with the powers he had...but it came with a price. He hadn't been able to see the world for what it really was, he had never been able to see Jean in the colours that had made her up. He found himself looking down, before up and over at Jean, a sad smile on his face. "I never trusted the weatherman." he offered to her, before a sigh escaped his lips.
"We need to have a meeting. We've got to tell the children something; I can already see the hostility brewing." he told Storm. "I also think we need to make a plan. We can't just sit here while Magneto's out there. There's word that he's trying to take over New York. We can't let that happen. We've fought without our powers before in the Danger Room, but Katherine, Robert and Logan haven't. We need to come up with a strategy."
Magneto would prove hard to fight without powers, but Scott was sure they could do it. They had to.

Her mind wandered off to their friends, thoughts of Rogue began to form. Where was she? It slightly worried her, she had a feeling that she would be fine... but what did that exactly mean?
"We have no choice is either take them down or be beaten." her fists clenched as she looked away from Scott. Her eyes shut momentarily.
"This thing I want to be free from it, the humans still view us as enemies and out own are hating us. If we are neither then what are we considered?" she wanted to fly again to feel all the energy around her, it felt so weird without her powers. Sometimes when she taught students didn't pay attention cause they knew she had nothing.
"We will stop the brotherhood, I assure you of that. I'm just... still afraid of humans." she shut her eyes, the thought of fighting for humans scared her more now, now they could kill her she was vulnerable.

"We will stop the brotherhood, I assure you of that. I'm just...still afraid of humans."
Scott found himself looking down as Ororo spoke. She had always been afraid of the humans, the normal people that threatened their lives at the Mansion, but now that they had been stripped of their powers? The fear was there more than ever.
He lifted his hand, fingers under her chin to lift her head slightly. "Trust me...you'd still win in a fight." Scott said surely, before he moved, sliding his arms around her to pull her into a gentle hug. He addressed her previous question next. "We're always going to be the outcasts, Ororo. Whether we have powers or not. We've got to go on just as we always did."
He wasn't sure if he was saying the words for him or for Ororo, but they comforted him all the same. He still had days where he would instantly leave the X-Men and go hole up in Alaska for the rest of his days...but he couldn't leave now. He just had to swallow down the pain until he could throw it up in the safety of his own room.

Scott reassured her with the small gesture of a hug. In many ways the two were exactly like siblings, partially because they were both trained under Professor X, their relationship since they were still young had always been about rivalry and comfort, exactly like siblings. They were rivals in the sense that one was to lead the X-Men, just a simple game for the two of them, yet they would always be close friends.
Leaning away from his hug she looked up into his eyes with a small smile. She knew that everything was odd without his glasses, she guessed that it must have taken him by surprise.
“The world is very beautiful, without my powers I can finally appreciate the natural climate.” With her powers she could only feel the energy of the weather, the sensation of the sun was so foreign and so entrancing to her.
“The sun, it feels so warm and good on my skin, how does it feel like when its cold?” she was trying to get them to think about other things, she had never felt the cold before as it never felt cold at all, her powers made her immune to intense heat or cold, once she wore a short skirt and t-shirt in the winter… the looks she was getting was priceless.
