It was late evening Logan wanted a drink, but merely forgot that this was a school. He knew he should be sleeping, but he didn’t want to. He was just an ordinary person now. No powers. Everything wasn’t making any sense. He wasn’t even sure if he was going to teach his close-combat class tomorrow. He was just that miserable. He couldn’t show off like he used to anymore with his powers.
Yes, Wolverine was depressed. However, he wouldn’t class it depressed. He was just a nobody without his power and to make it worse, his body was aching. He never ached this much before, but he always had a factor to heal and now he couldn’t. He couldn’t retract his claws out. This was the most stupid issue that he had ever dealt with.
He hated it and all he wanted was his “normal” life back. There had to be a way. There just had to be one. Of course, everyone else was working on what they thought could help. Nothing was going to help. They were just ordinary people now without their special abilities all because of someone’s idea of going to Alcatraz Island.
So he could blame himself, but what was the point? He could always blame Scott. It was always his fault. He loved to piss off the guy, but he couldn’t piss him off anymore. It was just unethical after what happened to Jean. He just couldn’t make fun of Scott anymore. Okay he could, but that wouldn’t be nice and he would probably have to hear from the professor again. He always did. It was a part of natural selection with Logan and this group of people.
The wolf-like man sighed and flopped down on the couch and kicked up his feet on the coffee table with his arms crossed over his chest listening to the news. Yes, the news. Logan was desperate for entertainment and this was entertainment in his eyes. Logan was officially really lame…without his powers. Oh how he missed them.

She found herself wandering the halls, simply exploring this new place. She had been here only a day or so, and had only met a few. None of the students were supposed to really know about her, so she only dared to venture out in the halls at night, or when they were in classes. Which wasn't much fun. Besides, she figured they already knew about her - they were mostly teenagers, and rumors traveled fast.
Be careful -- watch out for the car!
We're here to help you --
You can control it, just focus harder....
She forced the voices to the back of her mind, something she had been forced to do for the past few hours now. They were determined to give her another headache. But as she headed down the stairs, she tried to forget all about then, and tried to focus on some sort of way to gain her memory back. Maybe if someone hit her on the head somehow.....
Oh come on, you can come up with something better than that, she told herself, rounding the hallway corner at the bottom of the stairs. She could faintly hear a television, but was blatenly ignoring it.
Until she came into the lounge. She hadn't actually intended to end up here, but hey - she just let her feet carry her. It took her a moment to realize that there was someone else in there besides herself, watching the news. Reaching up, she brushed a strand of fire red hair out of her face, blushing slightly.
"Sorry, I didn't know anyone else was in here. Do you...uh...mind if I join you? I'm not really tired enough to sleep just yet and I don't feel like going back up to my room....but if you want me to leave I, uh, will...."

Logan wanted a drink badly or a cigar. He needed something, but the Professor had taken everything away that he liked. He was in need of those things. They were his babies, almost with like his powers which weren’t to use for him anymore. Was he supposed to be like this? Was he supposed to be like the human homo sapiens?
He didn’t know. He was clueless. He just needed a sign. A sign that his powers would be back and that he would be able to kick some ass. He needed to kick some ass. He was thirsty for kicking some butt. He bit his lower lip and continued to watch the news. The news was very depressing. It was talking about mutants and the ‘cure’. Logan was angered by the Cure. He couldn’t believe in a million years that someone could figure out a cure to give mutants an option on being considered normal.
Normalcy was okay, but forcing a law to make mutants become normal. What if there were some people that didn’t want that. Logan was one of those. He favored his powers. He had been with his powers for a long time and they just suddenly disappeared into thin air. He wanted his powers to appear suddenly.
He closed his eyes for a moment and started to concrete. Maybe if he concreted on the certain situation they would just come back. He thought that maybe that his mind was playing a trick on him or his adamantium was finally caving in putting pressure on his genes. However, that wouldn’t make any sense.
He was lost in thought when he heard a women’s voice. He slowly opened his eyes and looked up at her. “No, you’re welcome to stay, the news is just talking about the same crap, it always talks about mutant reform, etc nothing new” He said in a friendly tone…which was kind of odd for him, but who really cared?

She hesitated for a moment before sitting down in one of the armchairs, her eyes flickering to the news as they talked about something called the 'Cure'. It made her wonder why they would creat such a thing, if mutants liked the way they were. She wasn't a mutant herself - as far as she knew about it - but still...
After a moment, she glanced back to the man.
"You seemed concentrating on something - I hope I didn't interrupt you." She said quietly, reaching up to brush another curl fo red hair from her face. She watched him for a moment longer, her gaze flickering back to the news. It almost made her angry, but she still had to remember these mutants could be dangerous. It made her wonder if a mutan had been the one to make her lose her memory.
"But, I'm Jane." She said, sticking out her hand to introduce herself. "Or at least that's what that one man - Xavier - calls me. Jane Doe. I don't have a real name." She continued.

Wolverine glanced at her before turning his gaze back to the television. The subject of mutants had finally been taken off topic and now they were talking about the weather. They were expecting rain, it would seem. Maybe even snow. Snow would be nice. Wolverine enjoyed the snow. They needed something, to do to even make their memories of their powers go away. Indeed, something needed to get them to do something besides sulk around like idiots.
Too bad Storm couldn’t help. She had lost her powers also. It was just a shame. Everyone he knew that was normal. Being normal sucked. Yes, Logan was reflecting on this a little too much, but what else could he focus on. Jean? Jean was dead. He could barely even remember what happened to her. Was it a sign or something? He needed to reflect on the future and not on the past.
He sighed.
“No it’s fine” He admitted, “Just trying to see if I can get my powers back, but no luck concentrating isn’t helping nothing else” He added with a slight mumble. Not sure if she heard him or not. Not as it mattered. She wasn’t one of them and she couldn’t possibly understand. He stared at the coffee table before him, thinking again. Not sure what he was thinking.
He glanced up and noticed that she was sticking her hand out introducing herself as Jane. “Logan” He said as he stuck his hand out. “I’m sure you will remember your name, if Xavier had his powers he would be able to tell you, he is a powerful telepath” He said not sure, if the words that came out of his month made any sense.

"Oh." She said after a moment. "Sorry to hear you lost them. I'm sure they're bound to come back. Any cure like that - I don't think it'll keep your powers surpressed long." She commented lightly as he grasped her hand.
NO! Lower the door! We have to go back down! Lower it! Try again!
Her eyes snapped open, where she realized she had closed them. She blinked a few times - she was pretty sure that had been a memory, not voices like she normally heard. A frown crossed her face, but she tried to shake it off.
"But, that's not right." She suddenly stated. "Xavier still has his powers - he even demonstrated. But if you're telling the truth, why didn't he just unlock my memory? That's not right...." She whispered, staring at Logan now.

“They won’t come back, society doesn’t want us, so they did this to us” He finally admitted. He wasn’t gonna get his powers back. None of them were. It was science, and science wasn’t on their side. It was on the human side. Science was favoring humans it would seem and not them. He removed his hand from shaking her hand and sighed.
The wolf-like man raised an eyebrow as she closed her eyes and snapped her eyes open.
This woman is very odd, something isn’t right here.
He didn’t keep his eyes off of her as she looked at him with a frown. Something didn’t seem right. Nothing seemed right anymore and he needed to stop jumping to conclusions. He just needed to stop thinking and maybe stop breathing. He was now getting annoyed with himself, and that never happened.
“He can be selfish at times” He began “I asked him hundreds of times to read my mind and he always denies it” He added rolling his eyes when she said that Xavier had his powers. “You know what, I’m not gonna sit around and sulk over my powers, I’m leaving this place, going back to Canada in the wilderness where I belong” He muttered.

She simply shrugged. "You never know. How did you lose them anyway? It's not just you, right? It's like, your whole team?" She questioned, curious now.
She shifted slightly under his gaze, that ackward feeling washing over her again as she chewed on her lower lip.
"Well, then, maybe I should ask him again. Because...just...sitting here...not knowing.....it's getting to me." She growled, frustrated. She was going to have a talk with this Xavier as soon as she could. He had no right to keep that from her, if he could unlock her mind, then she was going to make him.
“Canada?" She questioned curiously.
Canada was too cold - too much snow for her. Too much -- wait...a dam? Rushing water, swirling, coming right toward them...they were all going to die...
"Why would you want to go to Canada?" She continued.

“We were fighting the Brotherhood on Alcatraz and we lost, they didn’t kill us, they just hit us with the Cure” He sighed as he shrugged his shoulders back. “They could of killed us, but no they didn’t now we are miserable, well, I’m miserable I can’t account for everyone else”
He leaned back on the couch and focused his attention on the weather women. The news was always interesting, but not anymore. He gazed over to Jane again as she started to speak again.
“Maybe you should, he could probably do it” He said with a smile “Hopefully he will, if he doesn’t beg” Begging was always good in getting Xavier to do it. Hell, if it didn’t work there was Jean. “If he refuses…you could ask…” He stopped when he finally remembered that the one he was about to mention was dead.
“Canada is where I like to be forgotten” He admitted to her.
He always liked Canada. He was pleasant. He can always get away. It was nice expect for the fact that they lost Jean there. He was going to make a note never to visit that place. No memories. He didn’t need to even be depressed in Canada.
“To get away from the United States and mutant haters” he pointed out.

“Well, you should just be grateful you're alive. And at least you know how humans feel - not having powers I mean." She mumbled, leaning back in the chair slightly.
She glanced at the weather, following his gaze. Rain, they were predicting. She loved the rain. And if it was snowing, like they predicted in a few more days well, she'd just be happy staying inside and watching it snow.
"No, I don't want to bed - that' skinda rude. If he doesn't want to do it, well..." She trailed off lightly. She arched an eyebrow in the next instant. "Who else could I ask? Who were you going to say?"
"Canada is cold." She commented. "Too much cold if you ask me."
"I think they pretty much hate mutants all over the world, so I doubt you'll escape them in Canada." She continued, folding her arms over her chest.

“Yeah Homo sapiens” He said sarcastically as he folded his arms.
Logan wanted to change the channel, but it would seem that every channel had mutant news. It was kind of getting old. You would think that society would just accept them the way they are. Sure there was some mutants that were evil, but they the good guys were helping them. They were saving society and all they got was nothing. Not even a thank you.
“Huh?” He asked as she mentioned his little bursting out mistake, “Oh, you can’t get her help, she is dead and I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have brought her into this.” He didn’t want to mention the name. He was stupid for even mentioning Jean. She always read his mind, if the Professor refused to read his mind. It was nice having two telepathic in a house together.
“Well, I was born there and that is all I can remember, it is home to me” He added about Canada.
“Yeah, I suppose you’re right, I could always move to Alaska, Barrow would be nice, Barrow is a ghost town…it would seem” He admitted.

"We're actually not that bad you know." She muttered, looking away from him and back at the television.
She seemed to hesitate for a moment when he said she was dead. That triggered something. She had just talked to someone who had mentioned someone that was dead. "Was....did her name happen to be Jean?" She asked quietly. "Somebody - I don't think he ever told me his name - said I reminded him of his dead wife Jean...."
"Alaska? That's even colder..." She murmured.

"Actually some humans are bad, but others aren't bad" He pointed out "You're not bad yet" He said sarcastically. Usually when humans got close to them something bad happened.
He looked down at the floor and sighed when Jane started to question about Jean. He really shouldn't have brought it up, and she wasn't gonna let him move on to a different subject. It would seem. He looked at her and sighed, "You can pass, for her twin" He said in a whisper. He didn't response to her rant about Cyclopes. Sure he hated the guy, but he decided not to make that known.
"Well, it's somewhere other then this mansion, away from the public, and society"

"I don't plan on being bad, if that's what you're saying." She stated, glaring at him for a brief moment. "Just because people like me don't have any powers like you - or you did - doesn't mean we're bad. I mean, I can understand if humans are afraid of mutants, but we're not the bad ones."
She frowned again when he said she could have passed for this woman's twin. "Surely I don't look that much like her....that would be..just...weird..." She mumbled. "You said she's dead then? There's abosolutely no way I can talk to her?"
"And technically in this mansion, you're away from society. And your friends - they're without powers too. So you're not alone, and I don't see them running for the nearest exit." She commented, folding her arms over her chest as her gaze flickered back to the television. She barely knew this guy and he was getting on her nerves already.

Logan rolled his eyes as he listened to her speak. This one was very difficult to even speak once. Kind of reminded of speaking with Rogue when they first meet. Then again he wasn’t good a speaking with people. He just should have kept his month shut and not run it across the map. He just simply dropped the subject.
“She is dead, no one could have survived a million gallons of water crashing on you, it is just impossible” He muttered as he turned off the television, yawning.
He looked at her and rolled his eyes, “I always run away, it is my way of doing things” He got up “I have some abandonment issues, but I always find myself coming back to them. It is how I work, and they aren’t my friends, I’m just the annoying one that they all hate, trust me, everyone in this mansion hates me” He looked at her “I’m off to bed and I’m leaving in the morning”
