Full Name: Piotr "Peter" Rasputin

Detailed Description of Mutation: Piotr is a mutant that can transform his entire body into so-called "organic steel". Played by: Daniel Cudmore
Personality: A quintessential "gentle giant" Piotr, despite his size and powers is quite, introspective young man, who with the exception of his few friends and family, prefers to keep to himself. In no way does that belay his loyalty, he's more then willing to fight for and protect others. His peaceful nature, also makes him reluctant to kill anyone.
Honest to a fault, sometimes he finds himself struggling with cultural differences but he's eager to learn new things. His history in Russia makes him a bit distrusting of new faces, and people in general, but life in Xavier's X-men has helped him cope pretty well.
Overall History : Piotr "Peter" Rasputin was born on a Soviet collective farm called the Ust-Ordynski Collective near Lake Baikal in Siberia. His parents, Nikolai and Alexandra, along with his sister Illyana lived there as well, his older brother Mikhail having passed away. His powers manifested when he saved his younger sister from a runaway tractor.
At first he was happy enough helping using his powers to help those in his collective, but soon his abilities were revealed to the Russian mob. Luckily the timely contact and intervention of Professor Xavier helped him gain admittance to his school and move, where he stays to this day.
Writing Sample:
"Blyadskii"
The Russian curse was drowned out by the sound of the heavy weight falling to the floor, cracking against the chrome less steel plates on the floor, almost bouncing from the impact.
Despite having relieved himself of the weight, Peter found himself leaning over his knees, gasping desperately for every breath he could suck into his lungs. His hands trembled slightly from the effort he'd exerted on them, and he could do nothing but frown as he watched them.
How pathetic he must seem. There'd been a time where he could shrug off an incoming Buick, toss Professor Logan like he was nothing but a softball, metal bones none-withstanding. And now? Now he was stuck bone-tired after a simple workout.
"The Cure", as the humans so aptly put it had taken away more then his powers. It had taken away his confidence, his self-assurance. The humans had taken away what had made him who he was. It was like not having the ability to use your hands, or losing your sight.
Frustrated at his exercises, and more importantly himself, he got up letting the weight roll of into the corner, as he headed towards the door. Maybe some painting would get his mind of things.
