Erik Lehnsherr was born in Germany at the first start of World War II, He and his parents were a Jewish family, And that meant only one thing. Off to a concentration camp for them. They were sent to the worst of them all. Auschwitz in Poland. It was here, around the age of 15 or 16 that he discovered that something was different about him. As the Nazi guards were pulling him away from his mother, He reach out for her and after struggling against the enemy, The metal chain link fence that separated he and his mother, twisted, and contorted near impossible fixing.
Time went by slow as Erik was forced into labor, Labor that would have destroyed a normal man, But remember, He was far from Normal. He was isolated from other people though. Many times he attempted to escape with his newly discovered powers, but time and time again, He failed, but for some reason, The Germans never killed him.
Soon the war was over, The living captives were released. Erik survived the horror that was the 'Death Camp'. He was lucky, Because his parents did not. His father he was told died a few moths after being brought in, His mother, was killed when she was seen giving her food to a small child. Erik was furious, He wanted those who were prejudice to pay. But he knew that was how he was to become, He would be just like them.
Erik traveled the world in search for something, Someone like him, When one day, In Egypt he ran into a man named Xavier. Charles Xavier. A man just like him. They soon became friends, Talking about possibilities that mutants could bring into the human world. Charles always thought that Mutants would be accepted, But Erik thought differently, He knew in his mind how Mutant's would be treated, People would be scared of them, and lock them away in camps,, just as they did to the Jews during the war.
Erik and Charles decided that they would put aside their 'political differences' and join together in search of other mutants who did not know what to do with their powers, They would teach them, make a 'school' for young mutants. Erik and Charles were best of friends, Until the day that Erik and Charles finally got tired of the others beliefs of Mutant equality. Erik thought that Mutants should stay hidden and not be exposed because of their status of not being able to fit in, where as Charles thought it would be best if they exposed them selfs.
Writing Sample (4 good paragraphs OF THE CHARACTER YOU ARE APPLYING FOR):
Finally, The Humans drew first blood. Erik predicted that they would, But no one but his brotherhood of mutants believed him. Charles was blind to this fact. A mutant, unknown to all but Magneto was killed by the humans. They claimed it was an accident. But they created the cure. The body is still alive and walking, But he is 'normal' now. No one should feel bad about they way they are, It is not their fault, it is the way nature intended it to be. The sun was coming up on the city of New York.
The war took place a few days ago. Alcatraz will never be the same, The 'cure' is still out there somewhere, In the hands of some Homo Sapian who would attempt to recreate it's effects. But he would be unsuccessful. Magneto ran the city now. Charles and his X-Men were nothing anymore, They had no Jean Grey, a terrible loss though. Dying at Alkali Lake, Because of a Homo Sapian. Erik frowned at how Charles never listened to his plans and thoughts. His thoughts were disturbed as he heard a door open behind him. Erik turned as he smiled slightly as he saw his young 'student' walk through the door. "Ah, Pyro, Welcome back from California, What have you learned"? Pyro smiled and he handed a folder filled with papers to Erik.
Reports, Articles, Supposed Occurrences of the cure popping up everywhere. Mutants being 'cure' there is no cure, They did not need to be cured, there was nothing wrong with them. This it seems was the only thing that he and Charles agreed on as of late. Smiling to his young friend he motioned him to leave him in peace. Erik turned as he looked out of the top window of a building that he had Sabretooth take over when they decided to take over NYC. He smiled as he turned to his desk and he sat in the metal chair.
Thoughts ran through his mind, Something had to be done. The 'cure' had to be destroyed, the man who created it needed to die, but he is under the protection of the X-Men at their little school. Now, Erik was a smart man, so he was no fool. He was not about to walk into a mansion filled with young wild mutants. He knew better than that. He would simply have to. Sneak. In. He smiled as he pressed a button on the desk and a cool sweet, sexy female voice answered him. "Yes Erik"? Erik smiled as he pulled his gloves and cloak on as he walked to a shelf and grabbed his red helmet and he said "I think it is time to pay our good Friend Charles a visit". He smiled as he took a single step into the elevator, lifted his right hand and the doors slammed shut.
