Mystique watched the exchange quietly from her place leaning on the counter, dusting the granola crumbs off her fingers. She figured Pyro would back off, lest have his power zapped out by Rogue. He'd had it done to him before, adn she imagined it wasn't pleasant - probably around teh way she had felt when Wolverine had stabbed the hell outta her. As if the thought triggered something, she glanced down at the three clawed scars raked across her stomach.
"Remy, why don't you show Rogue to her room?" She suggested, glancing between the two. "It's between mine and Erik's. Besides, I need to chat with Hothead over here." She muttered, gesturing to Pyro.
Yellow eyes flickered over at him, flashing dangerously.

Although Pyro seemed to back down, Gambit kept his guard up. The boy might be fast, but Remy was pretty certain he was faster. He couldn’t help but be curious, though, both about the history between these two and just what exactly this girl’s powers were as he watched her slip her glove back on. He had the feeling she hadn’t taken it off just to slap someone with it.
“She could fry you in a second,” Pyro had said. Did that mean she could control fire as well? Or perhaps electricity? He could always ask for a demonstration, but something told him that might be a bad idea.
“She looks more apt t’ fry you fo’ sayin’ she ain’t one,” Remy replied, placing his hands into the pockets of his long duster. Ah ha, now they were getting somewhere. Sounded like St. John had tried to win the Southern Belle’s heart and been shot down. That certainly made things interesting.
Now the Cajun man may be new, but he knew his place. He enjoyed getting under Mystique’s skin, but he also knew that it wasn’t wise to argue with her. She might have fallen in Magneto’s eyes for whatever reason, but she still held more weight than probably any of the rest of them combined. Besides, this was one request he would gladly fulfill.
“Guess I be y’r tour guide fo’ t’day,” he said to Rogue, offering her his arm. “De room be right dis way.”

"Touche" Pyro had to say. Vindictive. Perhaps she had the Brotherhood spirit in her after all. Not that he was going back on his earlier statement. He liked to have that chance to say 'I told you so' if things went south. Knowing Rogue, or not knowing her so well... as how much did anyone really know someone? Things could go south the moment she changed her mind.
Seems the second in command was trying to force Gambit and Rogue together. It was vaguelly amusing. Well, just to see the look on Bobby's face when he found out. Not that he thought ill of his fellow Brotherhood member, but Rogue... she wasn't exactly a guy with any sort of head on his shoulder's first choice in a girl. Not if the guy actually expected to get lucky. But he guessed Remy would be in for a treat if Mystique kept loading the deck for him. He almost felt sorry for him. The whole touch of death thing actually worked for an icy prick like Bobby... he wasn't so sure it would be the same with Remy.
He turned to Mystique. He'd learnt not too long ago that pissing her off, meant getting on the bad side of Magneto too. Pity. But he would follow by the rules, since they were the only rules that really stuck. "Sure thing. What do you need?"
Before the two of them left, Pyro snorted. "See if your opinion doesn't change once she tries to touch you" he told the guy with a shake of his head. It might actually be alright having someone like Rogue on his side, given their history together. He'd just have to make sure her loyalty remained to the Brotherhood and not to Professor X's league of drones.

Rogue was just moving for the stairs when Mystique suggested the Cajun show her up. She shot Mystique a look, wondering just what she was up to with all of this. Shaking her head, and looking to Remy, she smiled.
She laced her arm through his, "My. Ain't ne're been treated like this back at the school.." giving Mystique much different look, one of being impressed. "Like I said, Remy at least knows how to be a gentleman." The last words were focused on Pyro. Hearing his comments about touching Remy almost made her turn back round to punch to other boy, but she just ignored it.
"C'mon, lets go see this room, ain't no company worth stayin' for down here anyways." she muttered darkly. Whatever had happened to St. John, whatever made him such a jerk, she was starting to worry about Bobby's sanity for still wantin' to be the guy's friend.
Turning her attention to her new acquaintance who was leading her up the steps, she smiled again. "So, Gambit, huh? What sorta powers does a gambit have?"

Mystique simply flashed a smirk as Rogue as Gambit took her arm. Of course he was the perfect gentleman - to pretty girls. But to the rest of them, especially Mystique - who could barely understand a word he said with that accent - just got under their skin.
However, she turned back to Pyro in the next instant.
"Listen up John - and I mean it. This isn't something you can just let go in one ear and out the other, got it?" She questioned, making sure he was paying good and well enough attention.
"If you even dare mention this to Erik, I will kill you in your sleep. Painfully. You're not going to be the one to tell him - I am, considering she's my daughter. Because if you do get to Erik before I do, all three of us are dead, and he's going to try and use her against humanity again, understood?" Mystique said in a dangerously low tone, eyes flashing again.
"And do yourself a favor and don't tick her off, because like I said before, I won't stop her if she wants to touch you like she just about did a minute ago."

"Got it" he nodded, knowing it was about Rogue but deep down hoping it was some super secret misson and he was the only one Magneto could trust with it.
He didn't appreciate the threat. He got treated enough like a kid back at Xaviers. He didn't want it happening here. "Yeah, understood" he said with a scowl. "But I don't see what's so bad about using her against humanity..." he muttered, "it's all part of the war, fighting with the best weapon's we've got."
He almost felt disgusted that Mystique actually had a heart... and for Rogue of all people. So much for having people he could respect around here.
"It's all fun and games, Mystique. Nothing personal. Just like we used to act when we were back in the mansion." He grinned. "As much of a surprise it may seem we were friends..."
Sort of.

"Oh really then? How about we just us you against them then? I'm sure you'd work just as well instead of Marie." Mystique stated, folding her arms over her chest.
"And you're not at that school for the freaks anymore, so stop acting like it." She growled glaring at him a moment longer before heading for the door.
"I mean it."

"I mean it" he imitated in an annoyed tone when he was sure she was out of earshot, turning back to the fridge even though there was nothing there. "I'm getting out of this dump" he told himself, and closed the fridge again, heading for the exit himself.
