Rogue rolled her eyes heavily, had she had a pillow or something of the short she would have thrown it at him. Instead she just wore mirthless smirk, and narrowed her eyes looking over at him. "You'd be surprised..." giving his a mischievous look, "I mean, you'd think that seein' me with thirty or so already round m'neck they'd find someone else....." She pushed a loose strand of white hair back to its preferred home behind her ear, and let her hands rest in her lap.
"Less y'all wanna be shakin' m'hand all the time with where just one pair will have been...I know I'm gonna need more..." Rogue was trying not to focus on how much he was watching her, but it was a bit difficult. After all, he had those eyes......
She must have started staring again, because she jerked when he asked about the gloves again. Taking a sharp intake of air, and trying to quickly smooth it over by answering him. "Oh...I uh...I kinda have ta less you're wantin' to share those powers of yours..." She shifted slightly in her seat, crossing one leg over the other. "All it takes is one touch...can't be too careful ya know?" Giving a small smile, "'sides wouldn't wanna hurt ya...the last boy I touched went into a coma n'never woke up."

“Y’ might t’ink dat, but de ones dat get deir kicks handin’ dem t’ings out? Dey ain’ always all dat bright, an’ dey ain’ ever all dat sober,” Remy chuckled. As he watched her he noticed a certain sadness seemed to darken her features at every mention of the gloves. He also noticed she was not afraid to meet his eyes. In fact, she seemed to have a harder time looking away than meeting them.
Ah, so she was scared of her powers and wore the gloves as a precaution, not to stave off temptation, and with good reason apparently. She didn’t just get a look at someone’s memories or take their powers for a test drive; she actually put people in a coma with them. Breaking the eye contact, Remy tilted his head forward to look up straight at the ceiling.
If she wore these gloves all the time, did that mean she didn’t touch anyone? For how long had she been like that? For a girl that used to sneak off to Mardi Gras with her boyfriend, it couldn’t mean that she had never known an intimate touch, but for how long had she been avoiding even the slightest one?
“I don’ know, p’tite. De way I see it, dere’s such a t’ing as too careful,” he said thoughtfully. “What’s life wit’out a few risks? Y’ might find dey be worth it.”

Rogue rolled her eyes playfully at him, Crossing her arms, and trying to keep a serious face as she spoke. "You implyin' the only reason they gave 'em to me is they were drunk n'stupid?" A brief smile cracked through the facade however, knowing that with how the bead tossers were they probably would have given one to Blob and still felt good about themselves.
Glancing down at the floor when he looked up at the ceiling wanting to kick herself. Great I probably creeped him out. I just had to stare. Daring a look back up when he spoke again, listening to him quietly contemplating the implications of someone like her not being careful.
"Its a lot easier to take risks, and want to, when the risks ain't the type to hurt other people, n'give me all sorts of unwanted n'undeserved memories." Shivering just slightly, "you dun even wanna know what goes on in Magneto's head."

“I’d never suggest not’in’ o’ de sort!” Remy replied with a grin. “But dat ain’ sayin’ dat dey weren’t.” Sober, drunk, it didn’t matter; with a body like that he’d “lei” her in an instant.
Shifting around on the bed so he could face her, he laid on his side, one elbow propped up on the mattress and his head resting in his hand. It was much more comfortable this way, and easier to get a good look at her.
“Non, can’t say I would,” he agreed regarding Magneto. He had to admire the man’s determination and faith in his beliefs, but just seeing the intensity with which he did everything Remy was certain he didn’t want to see the motivation behind it, nor what went on in his head that they didn’t see.
“But y’ can’t avoid everyt’in’ jus’ ‘cause y’ be scared somet’in’ could happen,” he said, fixing his eyes on Rogue again. How would she ever get better at touching people without using her powers if she kept covered up all the time? It was a tragedy to hide herself away as she was.

"Sure you wouldn't." She chuckled, rolling her eyes. She simply gave a shrug to the rest. He was right, she knew it, but didn't particularly feel like sayin so.
Remy moved about on the bed, shifting to his side. Just having talked to him this short while he had her thinking about things. That was rare. Who would have thought there would be someone in the brotherhood with an actual brain? However the more he talked, she couldn't help but wonder how exactly someone like him had ended up here, surely Magneto didn't trick him into it. He seemed too smart for that, unlike Pyro. Pyro. Great now she was thinking about Bobby and Kitty again. He made his choice, so why was she still upset at him? Shouldn't she have seen this coming when she agreed to date him without being able to touch him? If anyone knew what guys thought about, it was Rogue. You didn't live the kinda youth she did, and not learn about their workin's real fast.
Her wandering mind snapped back to reality and she refocused on Gambit, he was saying something about not living too careful. Pausing thoughtful for a moment, however she didn't let it sink in enough to change her mind.
"That's all well n'good, but ya can't exactly chance it. I mean, if I mess up or can't control it, which by the way, I don't think I can, what do I got? I've put somebody in danger, and taken on all their memories as m'own..." Sighing heavily, and forcing a smile for him.
"I wish it was as easy as you say. I mean, when Mystique found me...I had been about to get the cure." Her eyes darted to the floor in shame. Somehow she felt like that fact betrayed not only her, but all those like her. "I thought that if I was normal...if I could touch people, then maybe it would be easier." Rogue reached up to rub the back of her neck. "I couldn't do it...." Slowly she raised her eyes back up to him, small ironic smile forming. "That's the last time I go n'try ta do somethin' for a stupid boy. Should know better n'that by now."
She was smiling again now, somehow it felt good to get this out, hopefully he wouldn't think her too much of a hypocrite, but no one would ever really understand what it was like to have their powers get in the way of their entire lives.
Except maybe Toad.
